Ghostlybwah

24 days ago, I met a streamer named ghostlybwah, and it was in a very difficult time for me. See, around a month ago, I made a joke to a friend of mine. They did not like it.

They set boundaries and I respected them, I stopped the joke and deleted my messages. They did not like the second part. They asked me why I "always" delete my messages whenever things go "slightly awry".

I simply couldn't come up with a reason in the moment, and took a day or two to think about it. I realised, I am very "all-or-nothing" in my approach to many things. So I shared that info with them, and how it felt like rejection, and that I needed to pull back immediately because of it, and deleting messages was the easiest way to do that.

When they replied they called it an "extreme condition", saying "i hope you get that sorted out", and in general, their tone sounded much like abandonment. When I pointed this out, and noted that it sounded like they wanted to end the friendship, 2 minutes later, they did.

This hit me like a truck, they were my best friend and they were pretty much the person I told everything to.

I fell into a deep depression, barely eating, talking, or doing anything. I eventually got the motivation to play Sonic Colours, and it was so bad that I had to write about it. This helped me make it through the days, but even two weeks later, I was still depressed.

I lost motivation in nearly everything, and metaphorically cried myself to sleep every night. Eventually, I thought back to 2024. In 2024, I decided to register my Twitch account, and I made my first ever "proper" friendships. So, I logged on and started looking for Portal 2 streams.

On the 7th of March, I discovered a streamer called ghostlybwah. They were incredibly fun to talk to, had entertaining streams (largely due to their group of friends), and gave me something to look forward to.

This helped tremendously, and has been a consistent part of my life ever since. With their recognisable humour, voice talent, and their engagement with their community, I cannot recommend them enough. Check them out at www.ghostlybwah.com
